My Prompt for Earnings Season

By Dave Wang

It's earnings season again - and I wanted to show you a prompt I've been using to blaze through coverage lightning fast.

We'll go through an example with Amazon to grab the following information:

  • Earnings call attendees
  • Key business metrics
  • Management guidance
  • Key business updates
  • Key Q&A from sell side analysts

The structure of this prompt is in JSON format so all you need to do is update the stock name and stock ticker. It'll automatically fetch the right raw transcript and conduct the above analysis. Makes it very easy to use (and JSON prompting is scalable if you have an automated AI system).

Here's the plan:

  1. Grab my prompt template
  2. Replace ticker in the 'user prompt' section
  3. Replace company name in 'user prompt' section

It's that easy!
